Job Description


Polaris is looking for a motivated individual to take responsibility for managing its Off-Road Vehicle business in New South Wales.  The primary place of employment will be Polaris' Head Office in the western Melbourne suburb of Derrimut, however we will also consider applicants based in New South Wales. The Retail Development Manager is a critical role within the Polaris organisation, responsible for:


• Exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales and market share targets
• Management of an independent dealer network across a specified territory
• Dealer network development, particularly sourcing and identifying suitable prospective dealer candidates in vacant markets, along with benchmarking existing dealers
• Sales and business training of dealership staff
• Creating and driving local area marketing plans in consultation with dealers
• Targeted local launches for an endless stream of new and innovative product
• Managing and attending Field Days and events on behalf of Polaris
• Implementing corporate identity programs
• Market and competitor analysis, along with sales reporting


The Retail Development Manager needs to be a sales manager, a credible and trusted advisor to the dealer network, a great relationship builder and have strong commercial acumen.

• Experience in the agricultural, motorcycle or automotive industries would be advantageous
